All position with constant, continual side-onshore winds (10 to 35+ knots), huge open bodies of water and very good launch spots are suitable for snow kiting. Most trainer kiting takes place along ocean shores, usually off beaches, but it can also be practiced on large lakes and inlets and occasionally on rivers. Since landboard kiting relies to a great extent on favorable, constant wind flow conditions, specific regions have a tendency to become accepted and looked for out by kiteboarders.
